Cupuaçu Butter Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter
Cupuaçu butter is a luxurious ingredient obtained from the seeds of a tree native to the Amazon rainforest, often called a "natural alternative to lanolin." It is characterized by an exceptional water-absorption capacity — retaining up to 240% of its own weight, which makes it a powerful humectant and emollient. Rich in omega-9 fatty acids and phytosterols, it deeply nourishes, regenerates the lipid barrier and improves skin elasticity. It works perfectly in the care of dry, dehydrated and mature skin, as well as after exfoliating treatments. Used regularly, it gives the skin softness, silky smoothness and a natural glow.
NOURISHMENTWater-absorption capacity of up to 240% of its own weight (USP Brazil, 2018). Clinically proven 30% reduction in TEWL and 70% increase in hydration after 14 days (in-vivo, n=30).
Oleic acid (40%) and stearic acid (30%) integrate with the natural lipids of the stratum corneum, rebuilding the intercellular cement. Phytosterols act synergistically with the skin's own sterols.
