Salicylic Acid

Concentration 0.5-2% (OTC), up to 30% (professional peel)

Salicylic acid is an organic BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) derived from white willow bark, one of the best-studied ingredients in anti-acne dermatology. Unlike AHA acids, it is oil-soluble, so it penetrates oily pores and clears them from within, dissolving sebum, blackheads and excess dead skin cells. It also acts keratolytically, anti-inflammatorily and antibacterially, inhibiting the growth of Cutibacterium acnes bacteria responsible for acne lesions. It effectively reduces breakouts, papules, open and closed comedones, evens out skin tone and minimises the appearance of pores. It is the gold standard in skincare for oily, problematic and acne-prone teenage skin — featured in Christina's signature Comodex line.

Zinc Zinc PCA

Concentration 0.1-2%

Zinc PCA (the zinc ester of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) is a versatile cosmetic ingredient combining the mineral zinc with the skin's natural moisturising factor (NMF). It works on multiple fronts for oily and problematic skin — it regulates sebaceous gland activity by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme responsible for sebum overproduction. It has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping heal acne lesions and prevent new ones from forming. It also supports epidermal regeneration and strengthens the skin's hydrolipid barrier. Niacinamide Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

Concentration 2-10% (optimally 5%)

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a versatile active ingredient, one of the best-studied in dermatology — with documented efficacy across many categories of skin concerns. It works in multiple directions: it strengthens the hydrolipid barrier by stimulating ceramide production, inhibits the transfer of melanin to keratinocytes (brightens hyperpigmentation), regulates sebum secretion, and reduces the appearance of pores. It has strong anti-inflammatory action, reducing redness, soothing rosacea, and calming skin reactivity. It suits all skin types and combines well with all other active ingredients (including AHA/BHA acids and retinol). The best results are observed at concentrations of 4-10% and with regular use for at least 8 weeks.

Arnica Arnica Montana Extract

Concentration 0.5-3% (extract) / 5-10% (oil)

Mountain arnica (Arnica Montana) is a medicinal plant growing in the mountains of Europe and North America, known in phytotherapy for centuries. Rich in active compounds: sesquiterpene lactones (helenalin), flavonoids and triterpenes, which have strong anti-inflammatory, soothing and anti-edema action. In cosmetics it is used mainly in preparations for vascular and couperose skin — it strengthens the walls of blood vessels, reduces redness and broken capillaries. It effectively speeds up the absorption of hematomas and bruises, which is why it is often recommended in products after invasive treatments (mesotherapy, fillers). It also works well in the care of tired, swollen legs with circulatory problems. Ideal for sensitive, vascular and reactive skin.

Mechanism of action
