Tremella mushroom extract (Tremella Fuciformis), also called "snow ear" or "plant-based hyaluronic acid", is a valuable skincare ingredient from Chinese medicine, used for over 600 years. The natural polysaccharides it contains can hold water up to 500 times their own weight, surpassing even hyaluronic acid. Tremella's molecules, however, are smaller than HA, so they penetrate the skin more easily and retain moisture longer in its deeper layers.
