Salicylic acid — effective, but requires knowledge

When you want to treat acne, post-acne marks, and other oily skin problems, pay attention to the type of acid in the formula.

What is salicylic acid?

Extracted from willow bark (Salix). Among many acids in cosmetics, only it functions in a fatty environment and penetrates pores to break down keratin clusters, dissolve excess sebum, and exfoliate dead cells.

For whom?

For individuals with oily and acne-prone skin. It cleanses deep within pores, eliminates excess sebum, and helps treat inflammation. At concentrations of 1%-2%, it is effective but not aggressive.

For whom is it NOT suitable?

  • Individuals with dry or dehydrated skin
  • During pregnancy, breastfeeding, skin infections — consult a doctor first

Required precautions

  • Apply only to affected areas
  • Avoid the eye area
  • Start with 2-3 times a week
  • Do not use simultaneously with other acids
