Male Back Acne: 15 Months with Comodex and Rose de Mer
Indications
Numerous inflammatory lesions on the skin of the back and shoulder girdle, including deep elements, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, numerous scars, open and closed comedones. The skin condition corresponded to a severe form of papulopustular acne on the back. The lesions had persisted for many years and periodically ruptured, leaving marks on clothing.
Case description
The patient first consulted a cosmetologist with a long-standing problem of acne lesions on his back. The skin required a phased approach: calming active inflammatory elements, regular cleansing of sebaceous gland orifices, reducing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and gradually improving texture. Due to the extent and depth of the lesions, the treatment plan was spread over time, with breaks for skin regeneration.
Treatment protocol
- 2 Comodex treatments with extraction of non-inflammatory lesions and back skin care.
- 2 Rose de Mer peeling treatments to support epidermal renewal and improve skin tone.
- 6 combined Comodex + Rose de Mer treatments, selected according to the current skin condition.
- Treatment frequency: on average, once every 1–1.5 months.
Home care
- Comodex Clean & Clear Cleanser — evening application to the back area; also used as a shower gel for the problematic zone.
- Comodex Purify & Balance Toner — evening application to the back skin.
- Bio Phyto Mild Facial Cleanser — evening application, during skin rehabilitation periods after Rose de Mer peels.
- The care focused on regular cleansing and reducing comedones between treatments.
Result
After 1 year and 3 months of treatment and home care, there were no active inflammatory elements in the observed area. The elimination of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, equalization of skin relief, and improvement in color and overall back texture were visible.
