Hydrolyzed silk is a luxurious cosmetic ingredient obtained from natural silk fibres, broken down into low-molecular-weight peptides known as fibroin. Thanks to its small molecular size, it penetrates deep into the skin, where it forms a microscopic film with silky comfort and an invisible lifting effect. Rich in natural amino acids (serine, alanine, glycine), which are building blocks of keratin and other epidermal proteins and support its structure. It effectively hydrates, smooths the texture and gives the skin an incredibly soft, silky appearance. It is a key ingredient of Christina's Silk line — dedicated to reducing wrinkles and giving skin a silky smoothness.

Mechanism of action
Low-molecular-weight fibroin peptides (5-30 kDa) penetrate microcracks in the epidermis. The amino acids serine and alanine act as a natural NMF.
Sericin is a natural silk protein that surrounds fibroin fibres, obtained during the processing of mulberry silkworm cocoons. In cosmetics it acts as a natural film-forming ingredient that creates an invisible structure on the skin's surface, with an immediate tightening and smoothing effect. Rich in 18 amino acids (including serine, threonine, glycine), it penetrates the epidermis and strengthens the natural protective barrier while increasing hydration levels. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, protecting the skin against oxidative stress and photoageing. Ideal in products with an immediate lifting effect — it gives the skin an almost silky smoothness and radiance, which is why it is the signature of Christina's luxurious Silk line.

Mechanism of action
Forms a cationic protective film that binds to keratin. Its 18 amino acids (mainly serine, threonine) act as a natural NMF, retaining moisture in the stratum corneum.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide found in the skin's extracellular matrix, in hair, and in the synovial fluid of joints — one of the most important ingredients for maintaining a youthful appearance. A single molecule can bind up to 1000 times more water than its own weight, making it the strongest known humectant. It fills wrinkles from within, restores volume and firmness to the skin, and at the same time strengthens its protective barrier. After the age of 30, the body's natural production of hyaluronic acid drops by 50%, which is why cosmetic supplementation in the form of serums and creams is especially important. It is ideal for all skin types, particularly for dehydrated, mature, and wrinkle-prone skin.

Mechanism of action

Allantoin is one of the most versatile cosmetic ingredients, occurring naturally in plants (e.g. comfrey) and animals. In cosmetics it works on several fronts — it soothes irritation, calms redness and accelerates the skin's natural regeneration. It has keratolytic properties (gently exfoliating) as well as keratoplastic ones (promoting epidermal rebuilding), which smooths the skin's texture. It also acts as an emollient, softening the skin and improving its elasticity, and as a humectant that retains moisture. Ideal for all skin types, especially sensitive, damaged skin, skin after dermatological treatments or after excessive sun exposure.

Mechanism of action
It stimulates keratinocyte mitosis in the basal layer (keratoplasty). It acts mildly keratolytically by loosening desmosomal junctions in the superficial stratum corneum.
