Hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide found in the skin's extracellular matrix, in hair, and in the synovial fluid of joints — one of the most important ingredients for maintaining a youthful appearance. A single molecule can bind up to 1000 times more water than its own weight, making it the strongest known humectant. It fills wrinkles from within, restores volume and firmness to the skin, and at the same time strengthens its protective barrier. After the age of 30, the body's natural production of hyaluronic acid drops by 50%, which is why cosmetic supplementation in the form of serums and creams is especially important. It is ideal for all skin types, particularly for dehydrated, mature, and wrinkle-prone skin.

Tranexamic acid is a synthetic analogue of the amino acid lysine, originally used in medicine as a drug to inhibit bleeding, which has found a breakthrough application in aesthetic dermatology. It works by inhibiting the plasminogen pathway in melanocytes, which is responsible for melanin overproduction after UV exposure. It effectively reduces melasma, chloasma (pregnancy-related discolouration), hormonal and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) — often where other brightening ingredients fail. It also acts anti-inflammatorily, so it works well in caring for skin with broken capillaries and a tendency to redness. Recommended for skin with hard-to-treat discolouration — a key active ingredient in Christina's Illustrious line.

In cosmetics it works on several fronts — it soothes irritation, calms redness and accelerates the skin's natural regeneration. Vitamin E (tocopherol) is one of the most important vitamins in skincare — a powerful fat-soluble antioxidant that protects the cells' lipid membranes from peroxidation. It strengthens the skin's lipid barrier, improves its elasticity and its ability to retain moisture. One exception: introduce retinoid and AHA/BHA products gradually and do not apply them on the same evening — this may irritate the skin. Always use a sunscreen the next morning. How should I store the product after opening?
Store Christina products at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. After opening, the product retains its full efficacy for the period marked with the PAO symbol (e.g. 12M = 12 months) on the packaging. Products with active vitamins (C, retinol) should be stored away from light.

Apply Christina cosmetics in order from the lightest to the richest texture: toner, serum, cream, oil. Apply to clean, slightly damp skin using circular motions from the center of the face outward. A full routine takes 3–5 minutes, twice a day.
