Glycolic acid is the smallest and most active of the AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids) group — thanks to its low molecular weight, it penetrates deep into the layers of the epidermis. Derived from sugar cane, it works by loosening the bonds between dead corneocytes, initiating the process of chemical exfoliation. It stimulates the synthesis of new collagen and accelerates cell renewal, thereby smoothing wrinkles, reducing hyperpigmentation, and improving skin texture. It effectively unclogs pores, reducing imperfections and blackheads, which is why it works well in the care of oily, problematic skin and skin with signs of photoaging. It requires the use of an SPF cream — it increases the skin's sensitivity to UV radiation.

Niacinamide Niacinamide

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a versatile active ingredient, one of the best-studied in dermatology — with documented efficacy across many categories of skin concerns. It works in multiple directions: it strengthens the hydrolipid barrier by stimulating ceramide production, inhibits the transfer of melanin to keratinocytes (brightens hyperpigmentation), regulates sebum secretion, and reduces the appearance of pores. It has strong anti-inflammatory action, reducing redness, soothing rosacea, and calming skin reactivity. It suits all skin types and combines well with all other active ingredients (including AHA/BHA acids and retinol). The best results are observed at concentrations of 4-10% and with regular use for at least 8 weeks.

Carnosine is a natural dipeptide composed of two amino acids — β-alanine and histidine — found in human muscle and nerve tissue. In cosmetology it serves as a powerful antioxidant and antiglycation agent, protecting the skin against two key mechanisms of aging: oxidative stress and the glycation of structural proteins. It neutralizes free radicals, protects cellular mitochondria from damage, and supports the skin's native DNA repair processes. Yes. All Christina lines are designed for compatibility. You'll get the best results by following a complete routine from a single line — the products mutually reinforce each other's effects. You can also combine products from different lines (e.g. a Forever Young serum + a Muse cream). One exception: introduce retinoid and AHA/BHA products gradually and do not apply them on the same evening — this may irritate the skin. Always use a sunscreen the next morning. If in doubt, use our free consultation.

Store Christina products at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. After opening, the product retains its full efficacy for the period marked with the PAO symbol (e.g. 12M = 12 months) on the packaging. Products with active vitamins (C, retinol) should be stored away from light.

Apply Christina cosmetics in order from the lightest to the richest texture: toner, serum, cream, oil. Apply to clean, slightly damp skin using circular motions from the center of the face outward. A full routine takes 3–5 minutes, twice a day.
